杜象藝術於1992年，由白雅玲女士創立於依山傍海的港都高雄。
30多年來，以當代藝術專業為本，杜象藝術不斷嘗試藝術介入空間的各種可能。從私人空間收藏、環境藝術、公共藝術、展覽策畫，到藝文論壇、文創設計、編輯出版、活動執行等，我們將每一個任務視為將當代文化風貌透過藝術手法展現出來的珍貴機會。
1993年至1996年間設立的「杜象藝術空間」，是一個充滿美感與創造力的當代藝術藝術場域，創造了港都高雄獨特的當代藝術風華，作為國際當代藝術展演及藝文活動的場域及藝術專業累積的基石，包含建立國內外藝術創作者與作品資料庫。
以當代藝術策劃的經驗為基石，杜象團隊在跨領域的專業背景下企業及公部門合作，透過規模不等的藝術計畫（Art Project），以當代藝術的形式，讓文化進入生活。民間夥伴包含台北金融大樓股份有限公司（台北101）、大陸工程股份有限公司/財團法人浩然基金會、台灣人壽股份有限公司、中華工程股份有限公司、福爾摩沙遊艇酒店、高雄捷運公司、欣達環工股份有限公司、聯上建築集團、燁聯鋼鐵股份有限公司、聚和國際股份有限公司、寶成建設、義大集團等。
自1990年代公共藝術設置辦法設立以來，結合藝術專業與環境規劃的工程經驗，杜象接受公私部門的委託進行公共藝術及計畫典藏的策劃及專案管理，包括考試院、文化部、衛生署、海巡署、台鐵局、國家運動訓練中心、智財權法院、台北市文化局、高雄市文化局、高雄市捷運局、高雄地方法院、台南工務局、海軍陸戰隊等，並曾獲得公共藝術最佳創意獎、最佳興辦單位獎、最佳教育推廣獎等榮譽。基於多年來對公共藝術法令的熟習，協助台北市文化局辦理公共藝術研習營並編撰出版臺北市公共藝術操作指南二版。
近年來，公共藝術的發展已日益重視「參與性」。以此為方向，杜象團隊於2021年辦理「海洋文化及流行音樂中心」藝術參與計畫，透過藝術駐地計畫、工作坊、講座、臨時性裝置藝術、國際專題論壇等形式，將參與式藝術落實到日常生活場域。
當代美感與哲思的啟發、展示，是杜象藝術工作的核心。期許一同在時代的遷移與多元文化的演進當中，尋找亙古不變的人文精神。
Duchamp Art, founded in 1992 by Ms. Pai Ya-Ling, is located in the harbor city of Kaohsiung, nestled between mountains and sea.
For over three decades, specializing in contemporary art, Duchamp Art has consistently explored the diverse possibilities of art integrating with space. From private collections, environmental art, public art, exhibition planning, to forums on art and culture, creative design, editing and publishing, event execution, and more, we view each task as a precious opportunity to showcase contemporary cultural features through artistic approaches.
From 1993 to 1996, we established “Duchamp Art Space”, a contemporary art venue filled with aesthetics and creativity. This space brought a unique contemporary art vibe to Kaohsiung, serving as a foundation for showcasing international contemporary art exhibitions and cultural events and for building a database of domestic and foreign artists and their works.
Leveraging our expertise in contemporary art planning, the Duchamp team collaborates with businesses and public sectors under a multidisciplinary professional background. Through varying scales of Art Projects, we integrate culture into daily life. Our private partners include Taipei Financial Tower Co., Ltd. (Taipei 101), Continental Engineering Corporation/Hao Ran Foundation, Taiwan Life Insurance Co., Ltd., CECI Engineering Consultants, Inc., Taiwan, Fullon Hotels & Resorts, Kaohsiung Rapid Transit Corporation, Shinnda Environmental Engineering Co., Ltd., LianShang Architectural Group, Yieh United Steel Corporation, Ju Ho International Ltd., Pao Chen Construction, E United Group, and more.
Since the establishment of public art regulations in the 1990s, Duchamp has combined art expertise with environmental planning experience to manage and curate public art projects and collections commissioned by public and private sectors. These include the Examination Yuan, Ministry of Culture, Department of Health, Coast Guard Administration, Taiwan Railways Administration, National Sports Training Center, Intellectual Property Court, Taipei City Department of Cultural Affairs, Kaohsiung City Department of Cultural Affairs, Kaohsiung Rapid Transit Corporation, Kaohsiung District Court, Tainan Public Works Bureau, Marine Corps, etc. Duchamp has received numerous honors such as the Public Art Creative Award, Best Sponsor Award, and Best Education Promotion Award. With a deep understanding of public art legislation over the years, we have assisted Taipei City Department of Cultural Affairs in organizing public art training camps and publishing the second edition of the Taipei City Public Art Operation Guide.
In recent years, the development of public art has increasingly emphasized “participation.” Accordingly, in 2021, the Duchamp team implemented the “Ocean Culture and Pop Music Center” art participation project, bringing participatory art into daily life through artist-in-residence programs, workshops, lectures, temporary installation art, and international symposiums.
The inspiration and display of contemporary aesthetics and philosophy are at the heart of Duchamp Art’s work. We aspire to seek the timeless spirit of humanities amidst the shifting times and evolving multicultural landscape.
