設置理念

音樂理想國，由北流「文化館」建築理念延伸，與古希臘哲人柏拉圖的精神遙相呼應。
本案之公共藝術設置計畫理念，承襲北部流行音樂中心的設立宗旨，透過當代藝術與流行音樂的結合、藝術家與音樂人的密切合作，期許打造一處自給自足的音樂場域，更期待由此讓台灣成為一個創作能量豐富的理想世界。

This public art installation project takes on the mission of Taipei Music Center. By fusing contemporary art with pop music and facilitating the close cooperation of artists and musicians, the project expects to create a self-sufficient music territory, which expectedly makes Taiwan a utopia with abundant creative capacity.

創作理念

Rhythms that race with time have greatly changed the imagination of music production. “Race Against Time” comes in the appearance of a satellite-like audio equipment array, giving an impression that it is a time-transcending music machine that has arrived here through time and space travel. Embracing the concept of “sequence”, music is triggered in sequence based on the computerized scheduling logic.It reduces the barrier to music editing. It also makes a comeback to the 1980s’ style when computers started to influence music production, as well as the strong rhythm of the diversely thriving hip-hop music.

創作理念

「幻流行光」利用舞台編制中的精密機械，重組成新的邏輯，衍伸出資訊時代中的程式語言，在創作中，不斷追求著再往前一步的科技技術。研發、工法、製造之間是互構的演進史，代表著舞台，聲光工具的演變，也代表著細化的專業。選擇電腦燈做為光的發散體，機構上完成擺動的自由，在控制上也代表著資訊同步的進步， 這個常見於舞台上的配角，卻是創造現場氛圍的核心角色。在數位時代後持續地發明發展下，光控已有了自體美學的境界，我們以它來作為極簡與純粹的想像，用光的雕塑來思考具體的感受。

“Poetry of Light” attempts to pursue the technology beyond the next step, we use the common machinery element from the stage, and creates its own scenery, logic, and programing language. The progress of research and development, methods, and manufacture are always related, their development reveals the evolution of stage tech, and sound and light systems in performance, and it also define and refine the professional specialty. Lighting as a supportive equipment that is commonly found on the stage, is now the main character in this artwork. Its swing capability and flexibility on the mechanism movement, also show the progress of control and information synchronization. The light control system has already reached the realm of self-aesthetics as the development of the invention goes on, and we intend to use light sculpture to shape the sensation, and present a minimalist and pure imagination to the audience.

創作理念

流行音樂如同整座城市的心跳聲，震動著分離的感官，乘載著世代間極為豐富有趣的文化表現。每當熟悉的旋律響起，聽者彷彿被召喚回到歌曲作陪的光景，再次溫熱心中那冷卻的情感記憶。本作品將「不可視」的聽覺記憶轉換為「空間層次」的運用，以新的詮釋方式與聽眾的經驗互動:透過藝術創作營造出不同情緒的城市氛圍，聽者得以悠遊於音樂鋪陳的時空廊道上，打開心中的時空之門，再次穿梭於音符記憶下的場景畫面。

Pop music is like the heartbeat of the city, it beats with intricate sensations, carrying abundant and intriguing cultural expressions of the era. Whenever nostalgic melodies are heard, memories of time when the song was sung are recalled by the audiences, warming up emotional memories within. This work transforms invisible audio memories into spatial dimensions, interacting with the audiences memories in unique ways. Utilizing artistic creation to create a city with various expressions, enabling the audiences to go through a musical space-time corridor, reliving the good old memories of the nostalgic music.

創作理念

作品的外型以阿波羅登月小艇(Apollo 11 Lunar Lander)為發想，利用具有科技未來感的金屬材質打造直徑約3m的船艙外型。其內部搭載了許多未來樂器，在重複單一的機械動態下，流瀉出具有旋律表情的音樂，邀請你我一起展開一場月球探險之旅。

本計畫結合現場演出的複合型態展示，一首首的張雨生金曲在《登月(樂)計畫》的自動節奏之下，彷若音樂漩渦般，帶著觀眾回味過去所熟悉的張雨生作品，同時也回想屬於自己生命中的某個時刻，用張雨生的音樂與科技藝術，回應關於生命旅程X音樂記憶的想像。

Inspired by the shape of the Apollo 11 lunar lander, metal brimming with a technologically futuristic sense has been used to make a space shuttle three meters in diameter. It is loaded with many futuristic musical instruments. In a repetitive, single mechanical movement, it emits music and melodies, inviting everybody to embark on a lunar landing journey. This is a compound exhibition coupled with live performance in the auto-rhythm of the Musical Lunar Landing Project, Chang Yusheng’s classics are played one after another, recalling the audience’s memories of the familiar tunes in the swirl of music as well as the touching moments in life. Let’s acknowledge the imagination of our life journey X music memories with Chang Yusheng’s music and the tech art.

創作理念

藝術家AKIBO親自挑選30年間自身設計的台灣流行音樂專輯、演唱會標準字，以蝕刻不鏽鋼的方式呈現在一尾象徵台灣的鯨魚身上。「AKIBO的音樂互動鯇魚」集合承載多位台灣音樂人的才華創意也記錄了國民集體的青春記憶:表現出台灣流行音樂巨大的力道與生命力。這個作品搭配特製APP，讓民眾透過手機掃描作品上的標準字:就可以透過手機得到專輯或演唱會的相關資訊。同時可以看到官方的MV影像。

Artist AKIBO personally picks the standard words/fonts for Taiwan’s pop music albums and concerts that he has designed in the past 30 years, and engraves them onto a stainless-steel whale that symbolizes Taiwan. “AKIBO’S MUSICAL WHALE” compiles and carries the creative talent of many Taiwan musicians, and makes a record of the collective youthful memories of Taiwan people. It exhibits the enormous power and vitality of Taiwan’s pop music. This work also comes with a specially designed APP, which allows access to information related to the albums or concerts, as as the images of official music videos, via the mobile phone by scanning the standard words/fonts on theartwork.

A burst of people’s compressed longing extends to the sky with the guide and permeation of light. The laser ray is like a corridor of light focusing eyes on the center of the venue. Content of the music culture displayed at Taipei Music Center represents an accumulation of people’s tonging

創作理念

作品以介於街道家具/遊具的方式呈現在戶外的綠帶空間，將6個不同尺寸的金屬箱體組合成放大版的MIDI合成(Synthesizer)。

透過箱體上的旋鈕及按鍵，可產生多樣的音色與速度變化，如同台灣是華人流行音樂的天堂，不分種族與語種，都能自由的透過音樂創作表達自 己，無限放大器如海納百川，能接受各方的聲音，創造無限可能。

This artwork is the form of street furniture and a toy and is situated in an urban green belt space. We have combined six metal boxes of different sizes to make an enlarged version of a synthesizer.

By playing with the knobs and buttons, the users can produce various melodies while also changing their speed. This signifies Taiwan as the hub of the Mandarin pop music scene. Whatever their race or language, musicians can express themselves freely through musical creation. The Infinite Amplifier, which is like the sea taking in all its rivers’ contents, can accept all input and create infinite possibilities.

創作理念

本作品以三稜鏡折射的概念，玩弄「光」與「影」的變化，結合音樂分享與創作，利用雲端收集每一段分享與傳遞，透過旋律與音頻控制燈光色彩的變化，而當裝置被轉動的同時，更可聽見不同的音樂與人聲繚繞而出。

This work is based on the concept of the refraction of a triangular prism, playing with the transformation of light and shadow in combination with musical creativity. The result is shared on a cloud database, collecting each part of sharing and transmission, as well as controlling the changes of light and colors through melody and audio frequency. Turning of the installation also activates the sound of different music and voices.
