設置理念

臺灣港務公司正積極辦理公共藝術設置計畫，其計畫主軸以港口文明發展的進程「大地理、大航海、大數據」設置理念，將於蓬萊港區規劃設置1組大型及5組中小型公共藝術作品，且在大型藝術作品創作量體與格局上，以彰顯宏大規模與氣度的地標類型作品為主，並能具備國際性、未來性與現代感，另5組中小型公共藝術作品，將以不同風格之藝術創作者，包括考古意象、原住民族特色、陶藝裝置、多媒體裝置、空間裝置等類型，高雄港是全台第一大港，其貨櫃量幾乎占據全國二分之一，因此為凸顯高雄港埠具國際辨識度，未來藝術作品不管是從海域或陸域上皆能享受高雄港蓬萊港區帶來藝術氛圍辨識度，使蓬萊棧庫群能延續過去百年風華。

Taiwan International Ports Corporation (TIPC) is actively pursuing a public art installation project with the overarching concept of the development of port civilization in the process of “Big Geography, Great Voyages, Big Data.” They plan to install one large-scale and five small to medium-sized public art pieces in the Penglai Port area.

For the large-scale art pieces, the emphasis will be on creating landmark-type works that showcase grandeur and international, futuristic, and modern aesthetics. As for the five small to medium-sized public art pieces, they will feature different styles and artistic creators, including archaeological imagery, indigenous cultural elements, ceramic installations, multimedia installations, and spatial installations.

Kaohsiung Port is the largest port in Taiwan, handling almost half of the nation’s container traffic. To highlight Kaohsiung Port’s international recognition and to create an artistic atmosphere in the Penglai Port area, future art pieces will be accessible from both the sea and the land, contributing to the continued cultural vibrancy of the Penglai Warehouse Cluster, which has a rich history spanning over a century.

創作理念

Mechanical artefacts provided by Taiwan International Ports Corporation Ltd include boat parts and other abandoned items, which represent the past glory of Kaohsiung Harbour, have been transformed into a fossil like quality by the artist and situated here, at the 9th Harbour Entrance of the Kaohsiung Harbour Tourist Service Centre to symbolise the glamorous transformation of the harbours history.

創作理念

Based on the historic images and cultural landscapes during the construction of Kaohsiung Port, the artist re-constructed the “corridor of history” characterized by “humanity, warmth, and emotion” via “story-telling.” Walking inside the corridor. travelers bow their heads to witness the history and lift their heads to see the Port brimming with ships’ activities. They enter the virtual memory of Takao Port via memories temporarily preserved by the persistence of vision, with their time overlapping that of the Port. When they look at the place, their history and Kaohsiung history are also being perused and interpreted. The people and the place inherit each other’s values, creating a Memory Field during the process.

創作理念

溫暖和烈的海風，是高雄海港的記憶。《風與鐘聲》作品即藉由風的力量旋轉機械齒輪帶動不同層次的擊鎚機構，敲擊不同音高的管鐘。此作試圖轉化不同的風速所牽引的聲音節奏，呈現大港的情緒。

The genial sea breeze is evocative of Kaohsiung Harbor. Powered by the mechanics of a windmill, Sound of Wind rotates a mechanical cogwheel to swing various levels of mallets, which then strike chimes at different pitches. This installation transforms the rhythmic sounds created by varying wind velocities to represent the aura of a large breezy harbor.

創作理念

大港迴聲——高雄港音樂銅鐘廣場，設置位於港區蓬萊商港內，在港市分離多年後，重新讓1-10號碼頭重新成為市民生活領域。在港埠航海文化中，因著尺度放大變得模糊，產生了聲音的運用，如鳴笛、口笛與銅鐘。鑒於港區特殊的聲景歷史，“大港迴聲”將在過去出口香蕉的碼頭，以鐘聲連結循環不息的航海文化。作品再現起重機的巨大臂懸吊似過去香蕉蔞般的棚架，連結37類固定鐘以及1顆搖擺鐘，讓「樂聲」創造港區的新聲景、高雄港獨特的回憶。

Echo Across the Harbor is located in Pier 1-10, where has been seperated from the city for years. In the maritime culture, sound has been an critical feature, like the usage of ship horn and bell. In viewing of this unique soundscape, Echo Across the Harbor with its melodies brings people back to this former bulk terminal where bananas were exported 37 bells and 1 swing bell, hang under the golden cylinder canopy, creates events and memories of Kaohsiung Harbor’s future..

創作理念

海港是出海人離開陸路時留下的最後腳印，回鄉時腳步最先踏下的地方，古早台灣，遠洋漁船上的棕色背影(原住民)，為台灣漁業打拼海上生活短至三年，長則六、九年，有不少族人病故船上或遇難下落不明。市場裡的海魚蝦得來不易，可以說是出海人用青春和生命交换而來的。不論什麼理由離鄉背景，你在遙遙海上，寄上家鄉一朵相思的雲彩，我在等你的地方。

Waiting for you Habors bear the last footprints of seafarers when they leave the land, and also, embrace their first landings when they return home. As the brown shade of labor in deep sea fishing vessels, indigenous people work diligently for Taiwan’s fishing industry in ancient times. During the laboring time from three to six or even nine years, many indigenous people have lost their lives to illness or in accidents. Therefore, seafood in markets cannot be taken for granted, since they are the substitution of seafarers’ youth and life. “You are there, at the faraway sea. Whatever your reasons for leaving your tribe, I will send you clouds of remembrance and I stay right here, waiting for you.
