Origin
“Water retains no constant shape ” the important enlightenment of water is that follows the trend and changes in a thousand ways, also embodies the harmony of nature. Idioms such as “dripping water penetrates rocks” represent the toughness of water – the endless flow of rivers that, over the years, cut through hard rocks and soil with great force, sculpting the landscape of the earth. People use the term ” One’s mind settles as still water” to describe the peaceful state of mind, but when disturbed by external objects, the calm water can also create ripples or even a tidal wave.
Origin presents a soft form with the rigid marble, and the static work presents the dynamics of water drops splashing up. By creating a ripple effect, the work leads the viewer to ponder the philosophy of water and consider the connection between people and water, which in turn increases their interaction with the Water Resources Center and the Water Technology Education Center, and connects the sustainable relationship between the place, the people and the environment.
